For those who want a surprise pop of color, I have stained 3/4" wood disks with alcohol inks, letting the wood take in the color to varying degrees. These very lighweight little earrings have either stainless steel or nickel free antique brass ear wires.
All of my wood jewelry is colorized using either acrylics, alcohol inks, distress stains or colored pencils and then made permanent with an acrylic sealant.
Due to the freehand nature of my work, there are variations in each piece, which makes them unique, one of a kind wearable works of art.
