That wonderful day when you feel the warm sun on your face and hear the drip of ice melting. You know it's the spring thaw and that winter has lost its grip.
I created this earrings thinking of that melting, as snow and ice gives way and runs off into streams, lakes and rivers. Soon the land of white will become green again!
All wire used is argentium silver, which is hypoallergenic and tarnish resistant. It comes from recycled silver sources and it contains 93.5% fine silver, higher than sterling.
These earrings feature two rings fused together. Hanging from the larger ring are 4 melting tendrils, wire I've balled and then curled into curvy shapes. At the center I wirewrapped a stack of labradorite rondelles, finishing with a labradorite briolette. The labradorite is pale gray with flashes of icy blue in its depths.
Handcrafted earring hooks connect at the smaller ring on top.
Total length of the earrings is 2 1/2 inches.
