Posted Saturday 12 pm: after carefully monitoring all available forecasts and consulting directly with the National Weather Service this morning, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow's 4/26 Market in Collingswood. Given our multi event schedule and production lead times (plus vendor calendars that book out months in advance), we do not have rain dates.
The National Weather Service has advised us of wind gusts of 25 mph all day (with up 35 mph until noon), combined with wind chills in the mid-to-upper 30s and persistent rain chances throughout the morning.
We have to consider the whole picture of the day when making a go/no call, not just the operating hours that impact customers. Vendors and my team are setting up for hours before the opening bell in a big open space. This is never an easy call, and of course forecasts can change. But we've made the best and safest call that we can based on the information we have (considering wind + rain + temps) as of the decision point.
As a rain or shine market -- with cancellations considered for severe or dangerous weather -- we do not make this call lightly. There are months of planning and investment leading up the event. Our vendors are tough and always prepared, and anyone who knows us knows that we've been out in all kinds of conditions.
But the combination of very strong wind gusts during vendor setup (and persistent wind gusts all day), near-freezing wind chills, and persistent rain goes beyond what we can reasonably ask of our vendors especially during the setup timeframe.
We hope to see you at one of our other spring markets or at next fall's Collingswood Market on September 20th.
The Collingswood Markets typically feature 100+ carefully curated vendors with a wide variety of handmade and vintage goods along with 10 food & beverage trucks, live music, free kids' crafts and many nearby shopping and dining options. The Market is produced in partnership with the Borough of Collingswood, and we thank them for their support!
Our "Normal" Location
The Market is located right in the heart of downtown Collingswood. You can point your GPS to 735 N. Atlantic Ave (the closest available coordinates) or head to the intersection of Irvin Ave and Haddon Ave. Vendors will be set up in part of the N. Atlantic Ave parking lot (aka the Farmers Market Lot), in the former Zane Schoolhouse parking lot, and all along Irvin Ave. The Market is just a short walk from the Collingswood PATCO station. It is a short ride on PATCO from Philadelphia, and the Market is easily accessible to residents in South Jersey and beyond.
Additional Details & Weather Information
You can read all of our Market FAQ's and see all of the vendors participating this season in the Vendor Gallery.
The Market is held outdoors rain or shine. A cancellation is possible in the case of severe or dangerous weather (e.g. lightning, all day heavy rain, or excessive wind). In general, our go/no go decisions are always made by Saturday mid-day at the latest. You can always check our social media accounts for any updates.
The Market is FREE to attend and family-friendly. On-leash, well-socialized dogs are welcome! The Borough has implemented a plastic bag ban to cut down on single use plastic waste. Please help us do our part and bring your own reusable bag.

Parking
Parking is available throughout Collingswood including:
- The large PATCO lot one block away (500 available spaces) - this is our recommended parking location.
- The Lumberyard Garage (kiosks)
- Metered street parking along Atlantic Avenue and side streets
- Kiosk and meter parking along Haddon Avenue
- Our wonderful vendors and our onsite team need time to properly set up, so we kindly ask that customers not arrive before 10 am (i.e. we don't do early bird sales). That will allow us to create the best shopping experience for everyone!
- Public transit can be taken to the Collingswood Market (take PATCO to the Collingswood stop). Our vendors are just steps from the train station. We also encourage our customers to walk, bike, or carpool whenever possible.
- Cash is king, but our vendors accept credit cards as well.
- There are portable toilets available under the PATCO line near the Perkins Center for the Arts.
- The Market is on pavement and handicapped-accessible.
- On-leash, well-socialized dogs are always welcome at our event. The Market can be noisy and at times crowded (and the pavement can get hot in the late spring months), so just use your judgment when deciding whether to bring your pet.
